This position supports the Controller in the management of the daily accounting transactions of the Authority utilizing established accounting systems, policies and procedures. Performs monthly financial tasks and reconciliations that are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Provides direct oversight of daily work activities of the Accounting Specialist position. Requires any combination equivalent to bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field and eight (8) years increasingly responsible financial accounting experience in an organization; advanced proficiency in use of Excel; valid Washington or Oregon State driver's license. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) desirable. Wage rage is $16.81-$26.06 per hour depending on qualifications.
Performs accounts payable and receivable functions, accurately and timely, using a computerized accounting system. Ensures all proper support documentation accompanies purchase order/invoice for payment. Responsible for tracking and engaging in aggressive collection procedures. Requires AA degree in accounting or higher; minimum of two (2) years work experience as full charge bookkeeper, accounts payable or accounts receivable specialist; advanced proficiency in use of Excel; valid Washington or Oregon State driver's license. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) desirable. Wage range is $13.07-$20.26 per hour depending on qualifications
Follows an outlined routine work schedule; performs general custodial duties at apartment building common areas necessary to maintain efficient operations; assists in the preparation of vacated housing units for rental. Must have valid Washington or Oregon State driver's license. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) desirable. Wage range is $11.00-$17.05 per hour, depending on qualifications, plus full benefit package including retirement.
