When a completed application is submitted a receipt is issued, indicating the program(s) applied for and approximate wait time. The applicant's name is placed on the applicable waiting list(s) according to the date and time the application was received.
Being on a waiting list does not obligate the applicant to anything, nor does it guarantee eligibility to receive a housing unit and/or rental assistance from Walla Walla Housing Authority. Being on a waiting list means the applicant will be contacted when their name comes up.
Eligibility
During the eligibility screening process, Walla Walla Housing Authority will collect information regarding household composition, income and assets. This information is verified through local agencies, employers, financial institutes, and other applicable entities. Information collected is used to determine program eligibility and the amount of rent to be paid or the amount of the rental assistance payment.
Eligibility is determined by Walla Walla Housing Authority based on the total gross annual income, family size, and is limited to U.S. Citizens and specified categories of non-citizens.
